Programme N0312A200010: International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies - master, full-timeAcademic year 2024/2025 The International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies (IMSISS) is a 24 month Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) awarded by a consortium of four European universities – University of Glasgow (UK); Dublin City University (Ireland); University of Trento (Italy); and Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). Students on this degree programme will examine a broad range of contemporary security challenges, such as terrorism, civil war and conflict, mass migration, energy supply security, cyber security and new technologies, and transnational and major organised crime. Students will also explore the intelligence and strategic approaches used by governmental and non-governmental actors to combat these threats. The degree adopts a unique approach to the study of security by combining theoretical, applied and empirical knowledge and skill sets. Students will have the opportunity to meet with and work alongside a range of academics and researchers from international partner universities and think tanks from around the world, as well as practitioner experts from governmental and industry security and defence sectors. Students spend the first semester at the University of Glasgow and then the cohort splits between Dublin City University and University of Trento. For their third semester all students come to Charles University to finish the teaching element of the degree. The final term is devoted to dissertation research and placements. The IMSISS Programme is a bearer of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, thus offering full scholarships both to European and non-European students. Academic supervisor: prof. PhDr. Emil Aslan, Ph.D. Academic coordinator: Mgr. Angelika Suchanová, Ph.D. IMSISS web page: https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu
