Programme N0312A200031: International Security StudiesAcademic year 2021/2022 Master in International Security provides students with a complex guide through security, conflict, strategic studies, and intelligence. Responding to the pressing agendas of the current security environment the program is administered by the team of young scholars of the Department of Security Studies. Students will obtain theoretical and methodological training allowing them to address security issues that range from conventional conflicts and wars to unconventional agendas associated with virtual or space domains. To successfully complete the degree students will the major theoretical and methodological courses and compulsory courses introducing each concentration. Based on their preference they will further choose among the elective and optional courses. Within the cross-concentration program route students are required to pass two elective courses from each concentration (4*12 ECTS). In case students opt for one of the concentrations they must pass 5 electives (30 ECTS) in their concentration and one elective course in each of the remaining three concentrations (3*6 ECTS). Master state examinationThe final state examination will consist of an oral and a written part. In the oral part, the defence of the diploma thesis will take place before an academic committee. In the written part, students answer one question from the compulsory subjects, which is designed as a theoretical and conceptual. The second question will reflect the opted specialisation.
