Programme N0314A25A4217: Migration Studies and New Societies - master, full-time, joint degree (NP_MSNS)Academic year 2024/2025 Profile of the graduate The graduates of the Migration Studies and New Societies study program (a) have extensive knowledge in the field of migration studies; (b) are oriented in the basic theoretical concepts of migration studies in their interdisciplinary anchoring; (c) have an overview of the possibilities of relevant methodological tools for the study of migration and integration practices; (d) have a basic orientation in the legal framework of migration to the EU; are capable of this theoretical and methodological equipment apply in practice; (e) can search and sort information and solve practical and research tasks using appropriate methodological equipment; (f) can apply knowledge in academic practice, state and public administration, non-profit sector and private sector. Final State Examination(JDIP01) Master's thesis defence (JSZ692) General discussion. The discussion is based on the topics of the mandatory profiling courses, including the basic theoretical courses of the mandatory profiling basis. The discussion is related directly to the topic of the defended diploma thesis. The aim of the debate is verify the students' ability to adequately apply general knowledge from the mandatory profiling courses and basic theoretical courses on a more narrowly defined topic processed in the diploma thesis.
