Programme B0388A180002: Sustainability in Marketing and Media Communication - bachelor, full-timeAcademic year 2026/2027 This interdisciplinary program combines approaches from marketing, communication and media studies with concepts of sustainable development. A new and unique feature of this program is the implementation of sustainability principles in the fields of marketing and media communication. The program will give you not only expertise in communicating sustainability issues, designing and presenting them in the media but also knowledge in intercultural communication strategies and their application in various international work contexts. You can critically evaluate media messages especially in the field of social media and assess the impact of media and marketing campaigns on the environment. You will create media content and communicate using photos, text, visualized data, and video content. And – most importantly – you will be able to apply the principle of sustainability to the communication process itself. The program covers four areas: Section 1 Communication in a global world Section 2 Media Analysis Section 3 Media literacy – media education – sustainable use of media in the digital world Section 4 Sustainable media production – sustainable marketing Graduates will have the following skills: a) Strategic, international, and sustainable communication skills. b) Skills in the fields of media studies, analytical thinking, empirical media analysis, and media research. c) Competencies in the field of sustainable media production: effective strategies for creating all types of media products, multimedia design, marketing, etc. d) Basic knowledge of sustainable development and procedures in various fields of work.
