Studium rozšiřuje a pr politologie, a to zejména v oblasti politické teorie, metodologie a srovnávací politologie Garantem oboru politologie je doc. PhDr. Blanka Říchová, CSc. Obor umožňuje specializaci na: • obecnou politologii, pracovníkem odpovědným za specializaci je prof. Dr. Miroslav Novák • komparativní politologii, pracovníkem odpovědným za specializaci je doc. PhDr. Blanka Ří • politickou geografii a geopolitiku, pracovníkem odpovědným za specializaci je doc. PhDr. Výrazně teoreticky zaměření studenti se mohou uplatnit jako vědečtí pracovníci a vysokoško Další možnosti uplatnění jsou ve státní správě, v aparátu politických stran, ve veřejných mezinárodních institucích, v zahraniční a diplomatické službě nebo jako političtí komentát Studenti magisterského cyklu si mohou zapisovat kurzy bakalářského cyklu jen s písemným so oboru.
