            The doctoral study programme of Sociology at the FSV UK prepares students for basic and ap
            and teaching in the academia, in scientific and research institutes, private sector and in
            institutions requiring a high level of theoretical and methodological education in sociolo

            disciplines.
            The programme supports the development of sociological thinking, especially as a scientifi

            focused on basic research in the main fields of social sciences as well as applied researc
            must prove their knowledge of present-day theories and methodology and also their ability 
            independently to scientific debates new knowledge that meets internationally recognised st

            graduate profile enables scientific careers, careers in applied research, analytical and e
            consultancy agencies, market and media research, individual organisations and corporations

            Research Design is a professional platform where students discuss their dissertation proje
            their doctoral dissertations. Students must also enrol in the courses that are compulsory 

            year (or second-year) students in the doctoral programme of study (these courses are usual
